John D. English

John D. English serves in an Of Counsel capacity with Froum Law Group, LLC.  

 

John’s practice focuses on sophisticated estate planning, management succession for family businesses, estate planning for large-balance deferred compensation arrangements, and estate and trust administration.  He has practiced in estates and trusts for more that forty-five years.  

 

John is a member of the Chicago Bar Association’s Trust Law and Probate Practice Committees and of the Illinois State Bar Association Trust Law Section.  He has spoken publicly on estate planning and taxation issues, including at prior IICLE Estate Planning Short Courses.  

 

John has served as a director on various charitable boards, has served on the Park Ridge, Illinois City Council, and was an Estate Planning instructor at the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law for five years. 

 

John received his undergraduate degree from Drake University (Phi Beta Kappa) and received his J.D. in 1976 from Loyola University of Chicago.
